Dancing With the Light
You remind me of a moth.
Yet your wings are strong and beautiful.
They carry you across continents in search of what you need and I see how it nourishes your soul.
I admire your courage, my freckled friend.
You attack opportunities the way a moth will dance with the light of a naked flame,
At risk of being singed while looking into its brilliance.
And I see that it scares you.
But you are more wise than your years, sweetheart,
And time has taught you that a life free of risks is no life at all.
Words to be used:
The autumn is here
like a newborn child,
with eyes so inquisitive
you ask yourself why,
should this child be yours?
when you have nothing to offer to it
but your bare arms and
fired up from your anxious mind.
These thoughts fly up in the air like smoke,
making its way up to the skies with its blackness.
The leaves, now dried up and orange,
have fallen into my hands,
I touch the rough surface
promising it a new life
when autumn ends.

Words to be used :
I was swimming in a pool of uncertainties, to and fro, like a lost fish. That's when I saw you, laying down on the marble floor with crossed legs and hands covered in different colours of the rainbow. You were painting a song of hope, though bleak, but soothing to my throbbing heart. I dared not approach you and ruin your artwork so chose to float in the middle of my chaos. My arms and legs lay frozen, watching you give life in a beautiful way so much so, I began to sink......
in your admiration.
I would sacrifice
a third of this air I breathe,
just to inhale your presence.
I would offer a glimpse
of your smile to my tired eyes,
that were yearning to see you
all this while.
Dear darling won't you stay
just a bit longer?
