Storytime

She played the violin like nobody else. A busy room would fall quiet when started playing. This night she's playing in a tiny room that she will never forget through out her life. She thought "Till yesterday he was there to hear my music, today I'm left alone and my violin will stop playing tomorrow onwards "

Butterflies : A short story
-----------------------

It was a winter night. I was sitting outside my tent in a forest resort. The tent was large enough to accommodate everything a full suite can have.  It wasn't dark at all as sky was clear and glowing in the starlight.

There was dim decorative lighting around as this resort often serve people who come here for their honeymoon. This place was no less than a favorite destination of many.

My eyes suddenly caught two butterflies out there dancing with each other. As if I was witnessing there pure love. Butterflies were blue in colour and environmental l...

He grabs his bag and put on his hat. As he walks through the door. he looks around the room one more time before he closes the door for the last time.
Never did see his brother and grandmother again.
Because where he is going they cannot follow. He is starting is life going to a home with other people that have problems like him.
   He thinks to himself

" I am glad to be out of my grandma's house"

Finishing story challenge #2

She didn't know her life would change, when walking through that door, despite her fears, feels like it is the right choice. She courageously walk inside and found herself in a magical place wherein all that she dreamt about for herself, for her family and friends are happening. So in that moment, she realize that anything can happen and that everything is possible, just take a step forward and leave all your fears behind. Then suddenly, she woke up. She woke up with a big smile in her face, though everything was just a dream, she knew that the magical place is bound to exist if she sets aside her fears and move forward to the unknown future. From that moment, sh...

Intertwined : Part 2
---------------------

You were the wind
When my ship was sailing
You were directing
without even failing

We tackled storms
What happened to us?
We were in form
What is all this fuss?

Splintered anchor is back
My ship is now anchored
I see no wind and
and the ocean unconquered

The vault is opened again
which is still a conundrum
of this disdain memory
And the long lost fun

Who will tranquilize the storm?
That once made the ocean halt
I see the fate of this halted ship
Was it really my fault ?

I hear no voice
There is no such presence
Embellished breeze has gone
Does it even make sense ?

I am about to concede ...

She didn't know how much her life would change, when walking through that door seemed like something ordinary. She looked around. The gorgeous paintings, the tiled floor which reflected her appearance, the people walking to and fro in that corridor. Everything seemed much like a royal palace, the one she could have only dreamt of while living somewhere which never saw what being rich is like.
"This way ma'am" the man assisting her led her to a room at the end of the corridor. A black coat was hanging on the coat hanger. A bunch of files were systematically arranged on the shelf, a goldfish was swimming around in the round glass container. She was amazed by the luxurious room that seemed bigge...

She didn't know how much her life would change when walking through that door one rainy night. She thought she would lose all the things she had so far. Her friends, her family, and all that made who she is. It was a hard and eminently choice that she needed. Her shackled surroundings have been purging the life out of her. The once starry night turns to a dreary night. The things that she had accepted to ease her longing is now choking her out of breath.

Her broken wings are of no use, and so she fled through that caged door. Limping, and dragging her soul out of that gloomy castle. Into the dark grizzly night, she draws all her courage and walks away. Away to a place where there's...

STORYTIME: Me attempting to write a story, something I've failed many times in my life.

Nothing was going on in his life. He felt lost as he stared out of his window, overlooking the city. He let out a big sigh as he closed the window. He grabbed his bag and puts on his hat. As he walked through the door he looked around the room one more time before he closed the door.....

It had been 3 years since he got his parents to sign the emancipation form. He'd been by himself before it anyway, and it was always difficult for him to get his parents to stay in one room for more than 30 seconds. He always had to pretend to be older to get jobs so he could pay for lunch at school. ...

He dreaded the feeling of coming back to the same empty house. Going down the stairs all he could remember was the smiling face of his wife kissing him goodbye everyday when he left for work.
Even though his legs guided him through those streets his mind was restless. He didn't hear the sounds of vehicles rushing past nor did he see the street side vendors yelling. All he wanted to do was run away from all these ...

Storytime

These foreign streets were unknown to her. And it was getting dark. She had to hurry, else she wouldn't be back on time. She had daily chores lined up, she cannot leave her kids hungry or ignore their assignments.  She swiftly changed her mind to become an affluent Indian housewife, swiftly handling things, all at once.

She climbed down the stairs and put on a smile as her kids looked at her, lovingly. Her saree was in place, the pallu (loose end of the saree) swept the stairs as she jumped and kissed her kids.

The kids were surprised, finding their mom smiling so wide. They wanted to know what changed in her. But guess they were too little to understand that holding a paint b...

"These foreign streets were unknown to her. And it was getting dark. She had to hurry! She had heard stories that this side of town was unsafe for people of color, but biracial and raised colorblind she did not want to find truth in those stories, but could not shake a feeling from deep within her core that she was not safe.

A trained athlete without thought she broke into a swift walk, then began to jog, next without realization she was in a full on run. Unsure of what she was running from or even where to, with each stride she allowed her instincts to carry her.  As she ran, she began to hear chatter, "Why is THAT running through our town?" One person said. "Did someone let their help...
