The heat rose and crept up her neck. There he was - Ben, still wearing his gray military fatigues.

Her mind went back to that day at the bookstore on Clark st.

She went looking for a good story, something to keep her mind busy. As usual, she wandered near to the section marked “classics”.

After searching through for a few minutes, she found the book that Andrea, her sister, had suggested. ‘The Count Of Monte Cristo’ stood there proudly... just one shelf too tall for her 5’3” frame.
“Great,” she thought, “and no ladder to help the vertically challenged. Wonderful...”
Her general independence made her dislike asking for help, so she looked for another option. Then it hit her, stand on the...

She was standing in her art gallery, giving her speech on how her art came to be. 'There is nothing like your first love' she said. As she points to a painting on the wall of two lovers kissing.

As she looks into her audience she stops talking and her cheeks turn red, because there in midst of the crowd is the pair of brown eyes she would forever and always get lost in to.

Ah yes, the boy turned into a man, just as she into the woman that she is today. The boy who saw the flowers bloom along with her. The boy to whom she shared her summer laughter, as the sea breeze blew her hair and the sun kissed her cheeks.  The one who witnessed how she shed her self-doubts and uncertainties like ...

The clock kept ticking, the time kept passing. But nothing changed. She stared at the clock as it did what it was created to do. Showing her that time was passing. Valuable time, that she did not know what to do with. She looked around and found the envelope right there where she kept it. She mused over it,her thoughts were like pushing her into a deep abyss of no return. She sighed. Thought over it once again this time and finally opened the envelope yet again,

"YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR THE JOB"

The line that was printed in bold left her with a sense of deep happiness. She wished if this could be something which turns her life to a happy end. But, what if...

Just then there was a bang o...

She could not waste another minute thinking about the past. There were many smiles to be enlightened, hearts to be valued, dreams that had to be fulfilled, goals to be achieved ...

Therefore, value the time and do not fall behind, or unexpected events may arise.

A train can have many stops but if you get out very late,

        you will be lost.

The clock kept ticking, the time kept passing. But nothing changed. She stared at the clock as it did what it was created to do. Showing her that time was passing. Valuable time, that she did not know what to do with. She looked around.  The breeze had not grazed the curtains for a month now. The windows were shut like her heart. The darkness of the room did not measure upto the gloom filled in her eyes.

The clock kept ticking, the time kept passing. But something had to change. She took out her phone, saw his pic for one last time, saw their pic for the umpteenth time. She used to smile. She wanted to smile. Fidelity was not his virtue. But who lost? She opened up the camera and gave hersel...

"What ifs" flooded her head. "If only" crushed her heart. But time already passed her by. And realized that she was just another passerby in that intersection where she met FRIENDSHIP and LOVE .

We clothed our bodies in red
Not for blood
Not for glory
For the hope that one day we will all live in love
We marched down Main Street for weeks
Across bridges
Narrow alley ways
Capital buildings and church steeples

More often than not
Hope is preyed upon by the selfish, the lonely
Our group slowly dwindled down to two members
The weeks of protest brought sickness
Death by control officer men
We fought peacefully..
Painfully.

The two stared into one another
Searching for some secret
A thread of danger
None could sense either
It appeared they were in good company
Smiling slowly
They knew the dream to love lives on
The city blocks wailed
Rejoicing in their fight
T...

WOW

The clock kept ticking, the time kept passing but nothing changed. She started at the clock as it did what it was created to do, showing her that time was passing, valuable time, that she didn't know  what to do with. She looked around and found no friends near by. She said to herself "This is the time to recognize real friends, during my good days most of the time they were here, now I'm in trouble no one comes" Soon Jimmy came in to her mind,What a real friend he is! She thought " During my prosperity he only visited me if I invited, but these days he makes regular visits " I'm sorry Jimmy, I failed to evaluate your friendship she said and sighed.

Valuable time, that she did not know what to do with. She looked around it was like she was the only static creature  and everyone else was moving forward or already had moved on.Its  has been a while  since she was feeling stuck with her life.First she thought this was the much needed break which she had always wanted after that hectic academic career and that ,this was all for the sake of her family but as time passed she knew she was just hiding.Hiding from herself, from the world, from the unhealed wounds. In all these years the...

Valuable time, that she did not know what to do with. She looked around , she looked within. There were so many things she wanted to get done.

Didn't she always wanted to get out and get some air. Climb the highest mountain, gasp for breath, fall in love, meet her soul mate, kiss slowly in the rain!

Didn't she always wanted to graduate? Give speeches, inspire people, motivate and come back home to a loving family?

Didn't she always wanted to take a break from monotony, go backpacking where the path leads, become one with the n...

Dear my heart :
I met you nearly two years ago, oblivious to how precious you'd become to me... How pivotal and necessary you are to my existence. I never thought I'd say that. I never thought, not for a moment, that I'd meet the one. You, not only, are everything I've pictured in my " ideal man", but also so, much more I didn't know I needed. You are inspiring, an outstanding father, and someone who is constantly pushing me to grow.
Most would say I'm too difficult to love, that you should stay away from me, and that I'm complex and complicated. A few would have my back from the beginning. They would say my genuine emotions and depth are what makes me, me. They would s...

More than ever, Joe is determined to enjoy the small things in life. He had spent the better half of this year, in the hospital. When the doctors spoke with him about his treatment options, he declined all offers. There was no way to really enjoy life, laying in some semi personalized room, hooked to machines, being poked and prodded.
The trail to the lake was about a mile. Joe took his time, ensuring that he doesn't push himself too hard. The birds were singing; he could hear about six different kinds of them. The breeze sure felt wonderful, warm but cool at the same time. Joe got cold quickly these days, but he didn't allow that to keep him inside.
Finally, there it was, the lake with a...

We never followed by the rules,
Always breaking the rules,
Rules of society,
Rules of distance,
Rules of heart,
And Rules of breakup.
Rules were never the boundaries that kept us together and
Never the reason to break us apart.
We were like those old soul that are too attuned each other , breaking every bounds that tried to keep us apart.
Still wandering all over the places not knowing how to be together.
Our souls are bound ,
Then why isn't our destiny?

We all should also be like her. We should have the ability to convert criticism into encouragement. If we dont do it for ourselves then who!!!

"YOU HAVE MORE THAN YOU KNOW"

No matter how often she tried, she kept failing. Others laughed at her every attempt. But she never gave up. Because...
Because he supported her, and her trust in him was too much to break. If he wanted, he could simple give a small beating to anyone laughing on her. But, he felt it'd be rather better to prove her capabilities than to show his own strength. He knew, she'd succeed one day. She kept trying...and one day, her luck stroke. She was happier than ever. And he, was happier than anyone else. Others--- stunned. Stories don't take time to spread through... and after that, she was known to every person in their college.
