If millennials are “so bad” why is it we seem to be making the biggest difference in the US? Are they threatened by a generation that grew up with technology? Are they are afraid we will throw them all in brutal nursing homes?
That’s not who we are as a generation. We have experienced bullying in our own homes through technology. Where we were supposed to be safe but since childhood. We were warned about the dangers...and the world without given the knowledge on how to properly cope. So most of us, once reaching adulthood DID get a wake up call, but that’s not something to hold against us, we didn’t raise ourselves (some unfortunately did); we didn’t choose what they were taught, we didn’t ...
Once weapons were manufactured to fight wars
Now wars are manufactured to sell weapons
To the Left Wingers,
This goes out to only the radicals amongst your group. So not all of you. I have finally come to the point now, where you have all made me exile from the left. To say that i'm disappointed is an understatement.
You threw piss on Lauren from Rebel Media. You approached Millie Weaver in a threatening mannor as soon as she was alone. You kneel through your national anthem. You beat up and kidnapped a disabled white boy, specifically because he's white. And you have the audacity to state that America is a rape culture?
Sick. I'm now neither left or right. You refuse to give Trump a chance, even when the black unemployment level is at an all time low, you still refuse t...
I'm stuck in the middle
of war between two nations,
one screams attack while,
the other shouts defend.
I'm stuck in the middle
of political games
each party exploring ways
to squeeze out money.
I'm stuck in the middle
of city and village
one with its pollution
and enormous opportunities
while the other with peace
and scarce resources.
I'm stuck in middle
of nowhere and somewhere
searching for the meaning
of freedom offered,
is it real or just an illusion?
Yesterday’s worship and teaching service was the first Advent teaching and centered around Hope.
Our teaching elder said something I’d never thought about before. It was the idea that in order for Hope to exist, there must be something which is wrong, broken, scary…painful happening. Hope is the anticipation of something better coming.
Hope is the opposite of dread…and apprehension that something bad is coming.
I’ve lived much of my life with dread and very little hope. Recently, I’d nearly given up hope that things will improve. Especially my ability to cope with parenting a child on the Autism Spectrum.
Since last November, I’ve lived with a sense of dread about what w...

They call it the law
We call it apartheid, internment, conscription, partition and silence
Its the law that they make, to keep you and me where they think we belong
They hide behind steel and bulletproof glass, machine guns and lies
And they tell us who suffer the torture and tear gas that we're in the wrong
For a dear friend in Gaza, may you find peace one day ❤
There are some who want to watch the world burn. They get off on destroying others and even themselves. They get mad at others for feeling anything. Maybe because they don't feel anything. Nothing but hate. Not for the sake of anything important but for the sole purpose to hate, to go against the grain. For the sake of irritation and creating chaos, inciting more hate. Those people will die out not by murder or violence but by educating. By creating a society that holds you accountable for your hate for the sake of hate. By standing up to bad people and not condoning any behavior that causes others pain. Like men do with rape culture. Like women being taught how evil men are. So that we can ...
"Sometimes we pull so many things out from our hat that it becomes impossible to get all of them back in."
What would I do if I were president?
I would, piece by piece, the world mend
I wouldn't expel anyone as long as they're good
And have no criminal records, as no one should
I would give to the poor and ask the rich to do the same
We are, after all, in life, in the same "ballgame"
There would be no need to be afraid anymore
Because I would make sure that all the people of this great nation are good to their core
If they're not, there are cops around
And, even if the sirens do make a sound
It'll make the "criminals" afraid to be so
Because the cops will be tough enough for them and it won't be a show
So, even though I am not capable of this
I am asking God to help with this business
Kings, queens, and presidents are all very powerful and important people. In our history as well as in the present.
But what if you could be one for a day? If you could rule your country for one day, what would you do? Enjoy the luxury or perhaps make some changes that will be beneficial for everyone?
Write your ideas/thoughts in an open letter and tag 'thoughts'.
Dear Mr. Trump,
Why do you feel the need to attack transgender men and women in this way???
I don't understand what the difference is between a transgender man or woman and a biological man or woman. As far as I see it, these people are still men and women regardless of whichever gender they were assigned at birth.
The fact that these people are prepared to put their lives on the line in order to protect their country is something that you should be respecting them for rather than preventing them from doing the job that they want to do... after all, it's your ass that they are protecting.
Instead, you are choosing to marginalise them and force them to live as a person that they ar...
My heart doesn't often settle onto politics; but right now, it has. This current decision Trump has proclaimed is an utter disgrace to our Country!!! It's horrendous against our heroic military. It's devastating to the Veterans. It's inhuman to the human race. I can't imagine someone trying to bullshit the American people with The government can't afford the financial accommodations of which the transgenders' would need!!! It's just absolutely preposterous! Please know, this IS NOT , I repeat, IS NOT ... the voice of the AMERICAN people!! It's the can of worms Trump shouldn't have opened!
The problem with oldies is that, they always think they're right. They say, " We're experienced. So we know what's good for you." Oh come on! This is 21st century. Your experience may help us only to an extent. The environment you worked in 30 or 40 years ago wasn't the same like it is now. The psychological bent of people wasn't the same as it is now. And the dirty politics.. I don't think you oldies have experienced even one fourth of what we get to deal with at workplace now. Accept it! Only then you will be able to understand why I always cry... " I don't like my job. I don't like it." It's suffocating! I want to work independently.
