Trying to make sense of my emotions after years of masking them in the resin of a flower is as cold as a billboard on the highway in bold black letters that screams confusion.

MOVIE THOUGHTS #3- SUPER DELUXE
One of the only Tamil movie I have seen. Before I say anything more about this movie ,I have to express my only regret with this film ,that it is in Tamil ,a language I don't know and which I should spend time to learn .
This movie is unlike anything i have seen ever ,from its interconnected stories , to its nuanced social and political commentary ,there is so much in it. The writing is top notch and so are the performances by the ensemble cast .Every character is layered ,connected ,grounded in reality and relevant in our times.
The movie treats its audience with respect as it asks you pay attention to its message and the hints, it subtly throws that ult...
I just finished watching Soul Surfer and I cried because if that young lady Bethany Hamilton can survive a shark attack and go through what she went through and still have faith enough to continue to surf, I just know that I am meant for bigger things. I don't know what it is but I'm patiently waiting for a sign. I'm scared of what it might be. I see all of my classmates doing well and then I think to myself they're just bragging for a bunch of likes and it makes me not want to be on Facebook anymore. I mean what's the point? Because all people do is fight and talk about others on there. I mean you're adults and you need to start acting like it!! This is why I go to work and co...
“Never give up on a dream
just because of the time
it will take to accomplish it."
It's a delicacy ,to be savored with temporal gaps.A nuance in the storytelling is evident ,yet Imtiaz uses his trademarks and brings in elements as diverse as French art and Indian Nukkad Natak into one complete story. From complex musical composition to refreshing acting ,this movie, nay this piece of art , has it all.
If the philosphy of the movie can be applied on real lives is a question ,so many of the creative minds struggle everyday.Brought into me a roller-coaster of emotions but also a tinge of remorse as i discovered this gem so late.
Hope other fellow lettrists who haven't watched it ,give it a try.
***Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly, birds fly over the rainbow, why, oh why can't I?***
I keep wondering myself, why I got stuck in here, in today's world..
Why am I not living in that black and white world of old movies?
Why can't I be walking side by side next to Judy Garland, singing my heart out in a misterious land of Oz?
Why, oh, why can't I help Audrey Hepburn realise she doesn't need anyone but herself to be truly happy, and that all the beautiful diamonds from Tiffany's won't help her heal her wounded heart...

that gets filled up....
It expands in size

Movies: Guantanamero (2007).
This is one of my favourite movies for two reasons. One it had a good but sad story and it was eye opening. The other is that it shows that the detainees are also human beings.
The following was a doodle that one of the detainees made in the sand saying the long part of the coil means the beginning of life and that as it progresses you go closer to death. I incorporate that one part in my life philosophy.
Here is the coil duddle......
“You’re looking at it all wrong. You’ve been blessed with a broken heart. When it doesn’t hurt anymore, that’s when it’s really over. Live in this as long as you can.”
